There are 29 golf
courses in the province of Malaga, the one on the doorstep of Puerto De La
Duquesa is listed below as the the neighbouring Estepona Golf.
La Duquesa offers a very varied game due to its very different front and back nines. The front nine has wide fairways but tricky greens. The back nine is characterised by narrow fairways and elevated greens. The course is hilly with scenic panoramas of both the mountains and the Mediterranean sea. The signature hole, 17th is a punishing par 3 for those who do not land the ball on the green. To find a complete list of the courses click here. |

There are over twenty five golf courses within 45 minutes driving time and the famous Sotogrande, San Roque and Valderrama golf courses are less than seven miles from Duquesa which was the official tournament village for the 1998 Ryder Cup competition staged at Valderrama. The 18th tee of the Duquesa Hotel and Country Club course is just three minutes walk from the apartment and as with the vast majority of golf courses in the region, no membership is required. The course has a driving range and a delightful patio bar overlooking the first tee and the ninth green. To see a map of the golf courses in this area click here. The Penguin Bar, within the marina, is a popular meeting place with local golfers who are a useful source of information on all golfing matters. |
